Overview:

A Fortune 40 global company aimed to reimagine its employee leave experience to complement its best-in-class benefits package. They partnered with Omlie to ask “How Might We” refine the process to provide clarity, empathy, and a personal touch to honor each employee’s unique experience.

Our Approach:

1. Validate the intent and the experience

Conducted interviews with the team members who run the process and those who recently took leave

2. Create a hypothesis to test

Leveraged insights to align on what we believed was needed – clarity, empathy, & personal touch

3. Seek out diversity of thought

Utilized design thinking principles to learn from analogous industries to expand our thinking

4. Build a recommended path forward

Aligned on the need for a process revamp including personalized advocates and dedicated training 

 

Vision Realized:

Identified 14 opportunities via stakeholder interviews ​

Explored 3 analogous industries to learn and expand our thinking​

Received approval for proposed process positively impacting ~4K employees per year ​

This is a real opportunity for us to leverage a model that places colleagues at the center and address the challenges with the administrative process.
