[Conshohocken, Pennsylvania] – Omlie Consulting, a women-owned and led management consulting firm, was recently approved by the Conshohocken Borough Council to establish its headquarters at 922 Fayette Street. With Women’s History Month upon us, this milestone is even more impactful. Our namesake, Phoebe Omlie, a Pioneer in American Aviation, was the first woman to receive an airplane mechanic’s license, the first licensed female transport pilot, and the first woman to be appointed to a federal position in the aviation field, in 1933. Phoebe knew that we rise by cultivating others and she was referred to by Eleanor Roosevelt as a woman, “Whose achievements make it safe to say the world is progressing.” This month and every day we celebrate Phoebe Omlie’s pioneering spirit.
At Omlie Consulting, we think about work differently, from how we work to where we work. The Omlie team will occupy the charming brick, 3 story, free-standing home which boasts natural light and has been converted from a house into an epic home-office. Omlie is proud to be part of Conshohocken, where our team and clients have a place to work together and enjoy the pedestrian friendly, local community full of wonderful restaurants and shops.
“What people need and want out of an office space, has drastically changed and evolved post- covid. We partnered with another local, women-owned business, Corporate Interiors, to design the space, and we’re doing it in a way that’s forward-looking,” said Omlie CEO and Founder, Sarah Catalano Burlew. “We are creating a home office where you can enjoy the wonderful amenities you have gotten used to at home, plus have real authentic moments with your colleagues. For us, it’s not about going back to work, it’s about going forward to work. People used to want free lunch and a ping pong table in the office, and those are nice amenities, but as we go “forward to work,” we acknowledge the strain that the pandemic has placed on our ability to connect beyond our daily work tasks. Our team wants access to mentorship, leadership, and meaningful connections with colleagues. We believe our new home in Conshohocken creates the time and space for people to collaborate and have the unexpected, authentic conversations that create lasting connections beyond the workplace.”
Omlie is proud to have a space to call our own. The office space is big enough to hold over 30 people, giving us the opportunity to host workshops and continue growing our incredible team.
