CSILLA KRISTOF
My Pioneer: Picabo Street
When she showed up on the US Alpine racing scene, she challenged the status quo just by being herself. Her fearless and aggressive style on the slopes, combined with her resilience in overcoming serious injuries, made a lasting impression on ski racers and fans of the sport – especially a young racer just getting started like me. I had the honor of meeting her once, and she not only encouraged me to keep training hard but casually said, “I bet you can beat the boys too!” That comment stuck with me as a young competitive skier and stayed with me well after I stopped racing. Why not reframe what is possible!?
Picabo Street was much more than just a fast skier; she is a symbol of determination, strength, and authenticity. These same values are lived daily by the team at Omlie, which is what inspires me to go above and beyond for our team, our clients, and our communities.
