Serena Williams is a former pro tennis player who revolutionized the sport with her skill, determination, and unique playing style. She broke barriers on and off the court, becoming a symbol of resilience and setting the tone for women, minorities, and countless others both within and outside the tennis world. As a former college athlete, Serena has motivated me and many others to keep striving for what we believe in, no matter the challenges we encounter.

To me, one of the most admirable traits about Serena is her ability to not shy away from talking about taboo topics – from the body shaming, to working moms, to women of color, and overall empowerment – she is constantly disrupting the status quo.
